Grease the frying pan with oil, cut the onion into quarter rings, and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
Fry the vegetables until golden brown.
Add rice and a mug of cold water to the pan.
Add broth to boiling water, stir and also add to the pan
Add spices to the rice and vegetables, stir and wait until it boils.
Once the mixture boils, reduce the heat to low and cover the pan with a lid. Next, the rice should be cooked for about 15 minutes until the liquid is completely absorbed
Place the side dish in a convenient bowl.
Best served hot. Pairs well with poultry, fish and seafood.
