Choose not particularly fatty meats for this dish. Loin and sirloin are perfect. Before cooking, rinse vegetables under running water and peel them. You should not peel the potatoes in advance and keep them in water for a long time - this way they will lose a lot of starch and will not be so crumbly in the finished dish.
Cut the meat into chops and pound lightly using a special hammer or a regular rolling pin. Add salt, pepper, spices, ketchup and mayonnaise. Stir with mayonnaise and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Boil the potatoes in a small amount of water over medium heat. Grate on a coarse grater. Cut the tomatoes into slices, onions into half rings. Grate the cheese.
Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and place a piece of meat on top of a piece, then the onion cut into half rings. The next layer is grated potatoes and then tomatoes and cheese. Place in an oven preheated to 220 ℃ for 1 hour.
Serve the meat and potatoes baked under a cheese crust with hot tomatoes. Complete the dish with fresh vegetables or homemade pickles.
