In Turkish cuisine there is a dish reminiscent of our okroshka cooked with kefir - dzhadzhik. This is also a cold dish, which is prepared on the basis of ayran or yogurt with the addition of chopped cucumber, garlic, herbs and spices.
Wash the cucumber and cut into small cubes or grate into large cubes. Rinse mint leaves with water and chop finely. Peel the garlic and pass through a press.
Combine all ingredients, add salt, pepper, ayran and mix.
Serve the dzhadzhik in small serving bowls, pouring a thin stream of olive oil and garnishing with basil leaves.
