Juicy steamed salmon with leeks

Every conscious person tries to eat healthy and balanced. In my search for healthy products, I learned that salmon contains many vitamins, essential amino acids and fatty acids necessary for the body. We can talk about its benefits for the body for a long time, and maybe endlessly. And steaming allows you not to use oil, which makes the dish less calorie, dietary and nutritious.

Steps:

  1. Prepare the necessary products, take out the steamer and cling film. Wash vegetables and berries.

  2. Marinate the fish. To do this, first wash it, make a cut on the belly of the fish and take out the insides, cut off the head, tail and fins, and then wash it again. Pat the fish dry with a paper towel to remove excess liquid. Place the mackerel in a container, cover with Teriyaki sauce and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.

  3. Prepare the leek leaves in which you will wrap the fish. Put the water in which you will soak the leaves to warm up. Make a cut lengthwise on the outer leaf, remove 7-8 layers of leaves, immerse them in preheated water for 10-15 minutes. Place the leaves on a paper towel to drain.

  4. Stuff the fish. First prepare the filling. Chop the parsley and any remaining onion, add berries, salt and pepper to taste, mix. After the fish has been marinated, fill the fish with filling through a longitudinal cut in the belly. Cut the lemon into thin slices and place on the fish.

  5. Prepare the fish for cooking. Place 40x40 cling film on the table. Place pre-prepared leek leaves overlapping on it. Slice the lemon and place it on the onion. Season the mackerel with salt and pepper to taste and place on the lemon. Wrap the fish in onion leaves using film. If the fish is not wrapped tightly enough, you can wrap it in a few more layers of cling film.

  6. Place the fish in a steamer and cook for 35-40 minutes.

  7. The finished dish can be decorated with fresh lingonberries or black currants; this will color your dish in bright shades.
