Prepare the ingredients required from the list in the quantities specified in the recipe. Wash the meat and dry it with a paper towel, sort the gooseberries and remove the tails from them.
Cut the pork meat into portions and lightly pound for chops. Season the pounded pork meat with salt and pepper, roll in flour and fry in a frying pan heated with vegetable oil on each side for 3 minutes until golden brown.
To prepare the sauce for meat, in a deep bowl, combine peeled gooseberries cut in half, sugar, water and mix the ingredients. Place the resulting berry-sugar mass on the stove, bring it to a boil and, reducing the heat, cook for 5 minutes. Add cream to the sauce and continue cooking for another 3 minutes until done.
Place the fried chops in the prepared baking dish, place the gooseberry sauce on top of them, spread all over the meat and place the dish in an oven preheated to 200 °C to bake for 30 minutes until cooked.
Fragrant pork baked with gooseberries in sweet and sour sauce, served with rice, mashed potatoes or pasta.
