To make homemade yogurt, be sure to sterilize the containers in which the milk will be heated and fermented. To do this, scald a saucepan or bowl for milk with boiling water and let it dry naturally or wipe with a clean towel. Wash the berries for serving, cut the strawberries into 2-4 parts.
Warm the milk. Pour milk into a dry, sterilized saucepan and heat on the stove over medium heat to 40 degrees.
Leave the yogurt to ferment. Pour the milk into a clean, sterilized container suitable for heating in the microwave. Pour the starter into the milk and stir well with a clean, dry spoon or whisk. Cover the bowl with a lid and place in the microwave. Select the "Yoghurt" mode or set the temperature to 40 degrees and leave for 8 hours.
Ready-made thick homemade yogurt can be consumed without additives, or mixed with fresh currants and chopped strawberries. Thick yogurt is convenient to serve in a wide mug or bowl with a spoon.
