Rinse the cereal with running water. Peel the onions and carrots, rinse and finely chop into cubes. Clean and cut the mushrooms.
Heat a frying pan, pour in the cereal and heat it for a few minutes. Then add boiling water and cook until done.
First, fry the mushrooms and add. Then fry the onions and carrots until tender. Heat a small amount of oil in a cauldron and add boiled pearl barley, then mushrooms and onions with carrots. Stir and simmer for a few minutes.
Serve barley with mushrooms as a lunch, sprinkle generously with herbs, add sour cream or ketchup as a sauce. You can also serve it as a side dish for a meat dish.
