Prepare the necessary ingredients. Thinly slice the loaf. Take out the milk, cream and eggs and measure out the required amount.
Wash the raisins under running water and soak in cognac for 15 minutes.
Cut the loaf slices into small 3-centimeter squares.
Whisk milk, cream and eggs in a bowl. Next add sugar and vanilla sugar and beat well again
Grease the mold well with butter. Mix the bread with raisins and place in the pan. Next, fill everything with the prepared mixture. Level the surface with a spoon, pressing lightly, leave to sit until the bread has absorbed all the liquid.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake until done. Approximately 35 minutes. The time may vary depending on the individual oven.
During baking, a golden crust will appear. Remove from the oven and leave to cool to room temperature.
Serve the dish with a cup of hot tea.
