Prepare the necessary products and place them conveniently on the work surface. Thaw phyllo dough according to package instructions. Melt the butter in a microwave oven or in a water bath. To serve, wash the orange and mint and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the citrus into slices. Prepare a baking dish. Turn the oven on 180 degrees.
Prepare the dough. Remove one thin layer of phyllo dough and place it in a suitable sized pan. Brush with melted butter. By analogy, repeat the steps two more times.
Add ground cinnamon. Once all three layers are in place and buttered, sprinkle the topmost layer with cinnamon. Then do the same operation with the remaining sheets of phyllo dough to make the baklava multi-layered and rich in taste.
Bake the dish. Make cuts on the workpiece to the middle of the thickness. Choose the direction of the cuts yourself; they can be made either diagonally or straight. Place a walnut on top of each piece. Place the product in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Prepare the syrup. Pour water into a saucepan, add honey and sugar. Over low heat, stirring, bring the syrup to a boil. After this, wait another 5 minutes and remove the pan from the heat.
Soak the baklava. Remove the baklava from the oven and cut the dough down to the bottom of the pan. Then soak generously in sugar and honey syrup. Let the dish cool and refrigerate overnight.
To make the dessert even more attractive, when serving, garnish a plate with filo baklava with ground cinnamon, a few orange slices and a sprig of mint.
