Prepare all the ingredients and place them on the table for convenience. Leave the butter at room temperature for a while until it softens. Set the oven to preheat to 180 C.
Place fresh or defrosted cherries in a blender container and grind them until liquid.
In a separate bowl, combine cinnamon and brown sugar.
On a clean, floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a thin layer. Dust the dough with flour and brush with butter.
Brush the rolled out dough with cherries and then sprinkle evenly with the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Roll the dough with the filling into a roll and cut it into pieces of equal size.
Grease a baking dish with butter and place the cinnabon blanks with the side cut facing up, giving them a rounded shape.
Combine cream, butter and powdered sugar in a blender container to create a smooth cream.
Bake the cinnabons in an oven preheated to 180 C for 25 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven once the buns are ready and leave them to cool. Then top the cinnabons with buttercream.
Place the cinnabons in portions on a nice plate. Sprinkle the buns with chopped nuts or garnish with a sprig of mint. Bon appetit!
