Steps:


  1. Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely. Peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater. Prepare a baking dish.

  2. Finely chop the cabbage and pour boiling water over it for 10 minutes. After the time has passed, drain off the excess liquid. Pour vegetable oil into a preheated frying pan and fry the onions and carrots over low heat until softened, about 6-8 minutes.

  3. In a deep container, mix cabbage with minced meat, rice and fried vegetables. Add the egg, salt, pepper, garlic and gently mix the resulting mass. Form the meatballs and place them on a baking dish.

  4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Pour tomato juice over the meatballs and bake for 1 hour. The dish is ready.

  5. Serve the finished dish hot with sour cream and fresh dill. For a side dish you can prepare bulgur or mashed potatoes.
