Remove the branches from the berries and rinse.
To keep the berries whole, the fruits should be soaked in syrup. Add sugar to water, stir, put on fire and bring to a boil. As soon as the sugar has dissolved and the mixture begins to boil, throw in the berries. Turn off the heat and leave the berries to soak in the hot syrup; the dogwood should soak in it for about 5-6 hours.
As soon as the berry is soaked in syrup, you should boil it again and do not forget to remove the foam. Cook for about 15–30 minutes over low heat. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, close with sterilized lids and let cool.
Serve dogwood jam with pancakes, pancakes or waffles.
