Arrange all products conveniently. Remove the oil ahead of time so that it is at room temperature while cooking.
Prepare the dough. Beat butter at room temperature. Then, stirring slowly, add powdered sugar, vanilla and a pinch of salt. Stir until the mass becomes homogeneous. Gently add flour to the resulting mixture, stirring at the same time.
Once the dough is smooth and collected, turn it out onto a floured surface and shape the dough into a rectangular “brick.” Now wrap the resulting dough in film and send it to cool in the refrigerator for about 45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. While it is heating, remove the dough from the refrigerator.
On an initially floured work surface, cut the dough into slices approximately 1 cm thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Using a fork or skewer, pipe a design onto the top of the cookie.
Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown. After baking in the oven, be sure to let the cookies cool.
To make the dessert even more attractive, you can add some nuts or spices to the shortbread cookie dough, which will give it crunch and an unforgettable flavor.
