Bring water to boil for spaghetti. Grate the cheese.
Once the water has boiled, place the pasta into the pan. Reduce heat and simmer until tender, 5-7 minutes.
In a dry frying pan, fry the bacon on each side for 2 minutes until crispy. Place bacon on a plate.
Place the boiled spaghetti in the pan with the fat remaining from frying the bacon. Season with ketchup. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir until smooth.
Place bacon on top and sprinkle with grated cheese. Cover with a lid to melt the cheese.
Serve the pasta on a large plate with chopped green onions on top. The dish can be supplemented with cherry halves placed around the edges.
