Prepare and measure all the necessary ingredients.
Beat the eggs with sugar and a pinch of salt very thoroughly into a light, thick mass.
Sift the flour into the egg-sugar mixture in parts and gently mix with a spatula from bottom to top.
Place half of the dough into a greased baking dish. Arrange the sliced apples in the pan and pour the remaining batter on top.
Bake the apple charlotte for 30 minutes at 180˚C.
Sprinkle the cooled charlotte with powdered sugar.
