Wash and peel the potatoes.
Place the potatoes in a shallow pan, cover with water, and place on the fire. Boil the potatoes for 30 minutes until the potatoes are soft. Drain the liquid from the potatoes into a separate bowl.
Add butter to the finished potatoes. Mash the dish using a potato masher, adding a little water to obtain a delicate creamy consistency. Serve hot.
Garnish the finished mashed potatoes with fresh herbs, such as dill or parsley, as well as sesame seeds.
