Rice for sushi
Sushi rice is often called Japanese rice, but not all Japanese rice varieties are suitable for cooking sushi. The basic rule - rice for rolls and sushi should be round -grain and not processed steam. Long -grade and red varieties of rice will not work. Sushi rice should become adhesive after cooking, and for this it is the starchy round rice. The most famous Japanese varieties of rice for sushi are Hakumay, Nishiki and Fushigon.
