Saffron
Sharn-red-orange sharp stigmas of crocus flowers of the crocus (lat. Crocus sativus), the world-famous spice and food dye of orange color. Through a series of borrowings, the Russian word "saffron" goes back to the Arab "Za’Afran" - "golden leaves". Fragrant stigmas of Sharfran is cut out manually, on the first day of crocus flowering.
