Parsley root
Petrushka's coins (lat. Petroselinum crispum) - the underground part of the herbaceous plant of the umbrella family. Like the main part of the plant, it is widely used in cooking. The root is added as seasoning to soups and second dishes both in fresh and dried form. The name of the plant goes back to the Greek word πέτρα, which means "stone". This is due to the fact that parsley usually grows on rocky soil.
